On Sunday 17th July, Trixie and the team were invited to Ropner Park to be part of the Eid Fusion festival. The Eid Fusion festival celebrates the end of Ramadan and brings together all cultures for a celebration involving inflatables, rides, juggling, live music, food and, of course, Trixie Trishaw!

When we arrived at Ropner Park is was still quite quiet and we made our way over to our designated pick up and drop off point near to the fountain in the middle of the park. We spent quite some time chatting with passers by about the project and the bike itself but people seemed reluctant to take us up on the offer of a ride around the park. Perhaps they had already witnessed our riding skills?

However, once we had our first passenger sat in the seat, we had a steady stream of passengers over the remainder of the event and even had a queue of people waiting at one point!

The festival was fantastic, the chat was lively, we met some wonderful people and we hope that our paths cross again in the future. Overall, we transported 30 passengers around the park and collected £23.20 in donations towards the project. Hopefully a good day was had by all who attended, especially those who felt the wind in their hair!
