Trixie showed her wheels in Darlington today as we visited the staff and residents at Moorlands Care Home.
We had a very busy morning taking out 19 of the residents for a ride around Stanhope Green, a park conveniently located directly opposite the care home. We also took some residents around the block and passed by Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College.
Some of the passengers were a little apprehensive at first but by the time we returned they all had smiles on their faces. Throughout the rides, all passengers were chatty and some even had a little sing song while waving at the students and cars as we passed them by..
Chatting with the residents who were waiting to go for a ride, we found out one of the waiting passengers was 97 year young – our oldest passenger to date.
All are looking forward to more rides in the near future.
Here’s to wind in their hair.
