On Tuesday 16th November, Alison took Trixie Trishaw of Cycling Without Age Stockton on Tees Chapter fame along to Co-op Petrol Station in Ingleby Barwick for a meeting with the team having been chosen as a Co-op Local Cause for this coming 12 month period.

The Co-op branches across the country work to support their local causes. As a Co-op member (cost of £1), you are able to choose a cause to support when you shop at the Co-op. Not only that but you also build a pot of money off your shopping every time you buy Co-op branded products.

At the meeting, I had the pleasure of being introduced to Carole, the Member Pioneer and, following a very brief information sharing session, we ventured outside to free Trixie from the clutches of McChadwick and had a fun ride around the petrol station before posing for photographs.

If you shop at the Co-op, however infrequently, you can choose Hand In Hand Activities’ Cycling Without Age project as your cause here.
