Today, we attended Ropner Park for a long overdue meeting with Stockton North MP Alex Cunningham to introduce him to Trixie Trishaw and tell him all about our Cycling Without Age Stockton on Tees Chapter.
We had quite a lengthy chat about how we plan on using the trishaw to take out older people for rides around the local community. This could be care home or community dwelling residents.
We also spoke about access to cycle routes in and around Stockton-on-Tees and further afield. Alex was very willing to take to the pilot seat so, you never know, once Alex retires from politics we may have a potential trishaw pilot in the making!
