I was lucky to be present when the Trishaw arrived to be viewed and tested at John Whitehead Park in Billingham with a group of older people.
My first impression was that the Triobike model looked smart and comfortable. The bike itself was light to push and manoeuvre around. I didn’t get the chance to try it out with a passenger as there were plenty of volunteers to ride it.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Stockton on Tees were one of the first to try it out. I think they enjoyed the ride as they were smiling and laughing with the pilot. Over the next couple of hours, many group members had turns in it with several different pilots. The smiles on their faces when they returned said it all, even though it was snowing!
There were people asking if this was coming to the area as they enjoyed it and would like to see something like this. I really enjoyed the time and could see the positive difference it made.
